Village Nurseries provide care and early education for children from two to five years, covering the full Early Years Foundation Stage.
To register, contact your chosen nursery directly or reach out to the head office. You’ll be invited to visit, complete a registration form, and provide any necessary information. If you have questions about funding or availability, the nursery manager will be happy to help.
Yes, visits are warmly encouraged. Please get in touch with your local nursery manager, email the head office to arrange a suitable time or book online .
Children attending full sessions should bring a bag with some spare clothes, nappies, wipes and nappy cream if needed along with a healthy packed lunch. Please inform staff of any food allergies or dietary needs. Snacks, water and milk are provided at the nursery.
Yes. Outdoor play is part of the daily routine and is built into the curriculum. Children have access to safe outdoor areas where they can explore, play, and develop their physical and social skills.
Each child is assigned a key person who helps them settle in and feel secure. Staff work closely with parents and carers to support each child’s transition and make sure they feel happy and confident in the setting.
Yes. Village Nurseries accept government-funded hours depending on your child’s age and eligibility. Your nursery manager can explain the funding options available to you.

Yes. Healthy snacks, milk and water are included during the day. Parents need to provide a packed lunch if their child is staying for a full session.

Children take part in a wide range of play-based activities tailored to their age and stage of development. Sessions include free play, group time, outdoor play, healthy snacks and opportunities to explore early literacy and numeracy.
The nursery provides healthy snacks such as fruit and vegetables (which parents are welcome to contribute to) along with milk or water. Parents provide a packed lunch for children attending a full day.
Nursery staff support children through every stage of toilet training, working closely with parents to ensure a consistent and encouraging approach.

Your child’s key person observes their learning and keeps records of their progress. You’ll be invited to regular reviews and encouraged to share updates from home. A progress check is carried out around your child’s second birthday.
Yes. The nursery team works to ensure children are confident, independent and well-prepared for their move to school. Staff liaise with local schools to support a smooth transition.
Yes. Each setting has a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) who works with families and professionals to support children with additional needs. Plans are tailored to ensure every child thrives.
Communication is a key part of nursery life. Staff talk to parents daily, hold regular meetings and encourage parent involvement through workshops, activities and home learning.
Children learn through play, stories, songs, games and hands-on activities. Group time, outdoor play and child-led exploration all support the development of early language, maths and social understanding.
